Hello everyone!

Welcome to the study group "English for media designers"!

My name is Ilona Buchem and I am a researcher at Beuth Hochschule für Technik in the research project "Mediencommunity 2.0".

I will guide you through this course together with my collegue Henrike Hamelmann. Below you will find some information on my education and experience:

Education:

• Master's degree in linguistics and teacher credentials in ESL (English as Secon Language)
• Certified eTeacher, eTutor and eModerator
• PhD in Business Education and VET (Vocational Education & Training)

Experience:

After receiving my master's degree and my ESL teacher credentials, I went on to teach Business English at numerous companies, e.g. Vodafone, Daimler, West LB. I then decided to do my PhD and worked paralell to this at Daimler AG in a training department in Berlin. In a team of eLearning experts I designed and implemented many different eLearning & Blended Learning courses within Vocational Education and Training. Since the beginning of this year I have worked in the reasearch project "Mediencommunity 2.0".
